Self of The Therapist

Although this candle is for anyone interested in celebrating self-awareness, it's time to show some love to my mental health clinicians!

A term we all are familiar with is "Self of The Therapist". It means to be aware of who you are and how your experiences show up for you as an individual. We are to ensure that our personal thoughts, opinions and issues do not interfere with the work of the client.

So therapists, how are you functioning? Are there things that are affecting you as well as those around you? Whether it is in between sessions, during your personal therapy sessions with your own therapist or your down time, this candle honors the need of awareness and the work you are doing to ensure your total presence.
